I will be at the SUSE office in Nuremberg during Hackweek and later will assist to the "Master of Sandtown'  outdoor event in czech republic  yay !! :)

This is my first trip outside South America :-O  I will arrive on Sun , Aug 24 after a 26 hour flight (CCP -> SCL -> CDG --> NUE), see ya ;)

On monday, it is mom's birthday, I will take a flight (CCP-> ZCO) today, friday evening to see her, it just takes 30 min :) will be back home on Tuesday evening.

Also, I will probably do some new talks at the 2° encuentro linux y Software libre 2008, to be held at the CFT Lota Arauco, between Aug 29-30. :-)

 I will make a QA session with the fine folks of SUSE Nicaragua user Group during the Release party to be held on Jun 20 at the UNICIT ;-)

Since Im pretty far away from Nicaragua, I will interact with the audience via voice over IP.

* Started to move to my new $HOME on Apr 17, basic stuff  in place on Monday 21 --> sucess :-D
* On saturday, I did a break on the move and gave a talk about the openSUSE project at the LOTINUX LUG in a small town near here called "Lota", it was cool to see that this initiatives exists on such socially complicated zones, very cool and motivated people around, had a lot of fun.
* From Monday to Thursday evening had to connect to the internet on random places and hours 'cause damned ISP are STILL working on connecting our neighboard.
* Got a 4mbit xDSL and phone line for USD $82/month , still expensive and crappy but seems to work.
* Working a bit fixing some factory packages that fails to build properly
* PHP 5.2.6 in Factory ASAP.
* On saturday 26, I will be at FLISOL event in the nearby Concepcion, see you there !! :-)

FLISOL (acronym of  Festival Latinoamericano de Instalación de Software Libre) is a yearly Free Software event held simultaneously in 100 cities and 17 countries across Latin-America, This year, is scheduled on Sat April 26, I will be sharing with people and giving  a talk about the openSUSE project in Concepcion, Chile (BTW.. I live there nowdays ;-) ),  at the Santo Tomás Institute , Avenida Prat 855, esq. Carrera. see you there in the afternoon !! ;-)

FLISOL (Festival Latinoamericano de Instalación de Software Libre) es un evento anual acerca del software libre que se realiza simultaneamente en 100 ciudades y 17 paises en Latinoamerica.  Este año, esta programado para el dia Sábado 26 de Abril. Estaré alli compartiendo con los asistentes y daré una charla acerca del proyecto OpenSUSE en la ciudad de  Concepcion, Chile ( Yo vivo ahi  ;-) ),  en las dependencias de Santo Tomás  , Avenida Prat 855, esq. The summer is getting more and more weird every year, just a few days ago we had around 38 °C and today lots of rain.. in order to escape from the annoying heat that since about 8 years raises to  40 °C + in the second half of January I will take some vacation days to make a loooong distance travel by plane to Arica , around 2800Km from here.

I 'll depart on Jan 15 and will be there in about 6 hours yay!    will try to visit nice places like Humberstone , the Chungará Lake if altitude sickness dont hit me of course ;) although my main interest is trying to visit  Machu Picchu in Peru, unfrortunately this may or not be possible.

I 'll be back at work on Jan 24 and back home on Jan 30. February will be the last month living with family and is probably a good idea to share with them a litle bit more, by the end of the month I will move back to Concepción in order to make some interesting personal life changes.
